and treatment services. This is literally a matter of life and death for women
in California. We are reaching out to the Governor, the state Department of
Public Health, the State Legislature, the media – anyone who will listen.
Join breast cancer patients, survivors and advocates in letting Governor Schwarzenegger know that we are deeply concerned about the recently announced cuts to California's screening program – Every Woman Counts.
Indiana - Good News in the Fight against Breast Cancer!
Recently, Governor Mitch Daniels made a strong commitment to fighting breast cancer, by signing into law Senate Bill 554 – legislation that allows any eligible woman in Indiana to be treated through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program – regardless of where she is diagnosed.
The state is slashing funding for breast cancer screening programs that is critical to saving women's lives in Michigan. The Healthy Michigan Fund provides breast and cervical cancer screening to under and uninsured patients. But, our leaders are considering slashing funding for this vital program putting at risk thousands of disadvantaged Michigan women!
