Breast Cancer Research Stamp Reauthorization
In 1998, Susan G. Komen for the Cure® helped secure passage of legislations establishing the Breast Cancer Research Stamp. The stamp, available through the U.S. Postal Service, raised awareness on breast cancer and has raised millions of dollars for vital breast cancer research. Congress must pass legislation by the end of the year to renew the stamp and ensure that it remains available. To date, the Breast Cancer Research Stamp has generated $74 million towards breast cancer research.

Washington State
Washington's Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) – which provides free breast cancer screenings to low-income, underinsured and uninsured women in the state – is at risk of losing over half of its funding in the state budget. Act now to urge Governor Gregoire and Washington's state legislators to protect funding for this life-saving program!
Michigan
A bill is pending in the Michigan State Senate that would ensure fair and equal access to chemotherapy drugs, regardless of whether those drugs are administered intravenously or by pill. Click below to urge the MI Senate to support the bill and hold a hearing on this important legislation!
Ohio
Ohio Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP) makes it possible for Ohio’s women who are most in-need to receive critical breast screenings that could ultimately save their lives. Unfortunately, due to significant state budget constraints, funding for the program has been reduced. In just the last 3 years, funding for the BCCP program has been reduced by over 50%. This means that many women who qualify for the program do not receive the vital screenings they need. A new bill proposed would give Ohioans the opportunity to help – simply by checking a box on their State of Ohio income tax form to contribute a portion or all of their tax refund to the Ohio BCCP program. This bill is an important step to help many uninsured and underinsured Ohio women receive access to life-saving screenings in the fight against cancer in our state.
